Can't wait. Been dreaming of going my whole life and I'll be finally checking it out this year! Fingers crossed it's a great show!
I would agree that game pass is decent... On Xbox. I got the dollar for a month of game pass on pc and I would argue it wasn't worth it.
Metro exodus on the windows store is broken, as is gears ultimate edition, gears 4 is dead (and the single player is ok at best), dead rising 4 is the worst of the series and a huge glitch fest, crackdown 3 feels like a storyless version of saints row 4, sea of thieves is bland (especially without a group), there's a ton of mobile ...
I totally miss split screen in games that should have it. One of the biggest reasons I've hated driving games for a while now has been they've completely removed this feature. Ever since burnout paradise (which is great and was built from the ground up as an open world racer), most racers have taken the same route so they don't have to design individual tracks background assets etc.
@ganstar_red
I'm pretty sure you're missing a lot from those analogies. First, like others have pointed to, if for any reason you delete PT or the data becomes corrupt, it will be lost forever (unless you crack your system and run the download off of a private server). This is equally true with the game devotion on steam as are most digital copies of gta's music libraries you own the original disc. Now, while those are rare cases, people who collect or enjoy owning physic...
While games won't look immensely better, it opens up more possibilities overall. Understandably, the price jump is huge. But, that can be said for being at the forefront for any new technology. I'm currently using a 2080ti and while I've played a few games that enable it, the gpu also plays everything else incredibly well so it's not like you're buying this tech for ONLY that option. Enthusiasts will pay top dollar to check out the newest things, but this will eventually b...
Still doesn't fix things and the pc version is still behind the consoles...
Also, the example he provides isn't even a fatality but a fatal blow, which makes me think he has no idea what he's talking about. Gaming journalism at its finest I see...
Seems like there are already a few games complaining about the currency system... Hopefully this can be addressed with a patch.
I'm not sure how I can take this review seriously. They complain about the needless violence in fatalities and unable to turn them off, yet outside of the story (which at this point in the franchise story deaths are about as EXPECTED as deaths in Game of Thrones), you can turn them off by... not performing them...
"We're long past the days where blood and gore made Mortal Kombat the hallmark fighter it is today. These fatalities seem like a relic of the past&qu...
Well, considering home console standards means ps4 standards, it doesn't meet them. If say it meets portable or mobile standards, but saying anything beyond that is just lying.
Sorry, but anytime the phrase "good enough" is used, you know it's gonna be bad. It's pretty much EA's stance before they start adding loot boxes.
I think Microsoft is more in a difficult position. Coming out of this generation, they now face competition on two fronts with competitors who have better foundations to stand on.
On one hand, they're doing the traditional console route which hasn't gone terribly well for them overall. They are just now finally starting to develop their first party games with newly founded studios (most of which are quite unproven as of yet) and have globally struggled to keep pace ...
I'd be curious to know what exactly they mean by this statement.
Does it mean that it received 2.5x the launch numbers? If so, that's not that impressive considering the first was a complete sleeper and the second, while receiving some marketing wasn't pushed much at launch (also people pushed back against the hard mode being hidden behind a preorder paywall), whereas the third had received heavy marketing for nearly two years prior to launch.
@AnthonyDavis
While I have issues with the actual gameplay/characters, I haven't seen a single complaint about hardware issues on PC other than yours. If you're having issues running it, you're either running it above your specs or something is happening with your actual hardware.
I'd disagree. While 2 was divisive for the sudden character switch, 1, 3, and 4 were praised by fans for their ability to provide fulfilling story aspects and development to the overall plot, amazing attention to detail, and massive progress in the game play department.
With 1 being the series' first foray into 3d, it did incredibly well. 2 introduced more streamlined game play while keeping stealth at the forefront. 3 introduced the series to open area stealth whi...
While I understand their reasoning for doing this, I think the fact they had pre-orders on steam for ages before mentioning this is probably the worst way to announce exclusivity. I'd be interested to know if the number of sales they expect to lose over this debacle gets offset from the increased profits they'll get from Epic's reduced take.
I’ll probably get a lot of flak for this but w/e. My biggest issues were as follows:
Controls are super sluggish
Horse mechanics are often broken
Plot repeats literally the same points several times without much variation until the final two parts
Too many fetch/walk here then watch cutscene without engaging gameplay interactions
Lack of side activities
Focus on realism was a little dialed up for my taste (but that’s a preference thing, I ...
I’ve got the feeling that Ubisoft know The Division 2 will probably share a similar fate to Destiny 2 and they’re just using this as a way to test the waters per say. While it was a big seller at that point (as was the first destiny), since then we’ve had so many online mmo-lite games come out with botched releases that people are starting to get burnt out or wary of launches. Ubisoft want to see how people (and more specifically Valve) will react to this. While this is a good start for Epic’...
I wasn’t saying the gameplay in MGSV was bad, I was saying when it came out it was highly praised by the public but heavily criticized by longtime fans of the series only to have the media beer away from admitting such (as seems to be the case here). I know I’ll be downvoted, that’s fine, but it’ll all be down to time to tell whether this rings true or not.
I think this game has the same problem that mgsv had in that it took an established franchise, made changes that the core audience disliked, media gave it near perfect scores attracting die hard fans who defended its flaws as “immersive”, then a year down the road most who continued to discuss it described it overall as meh...
I got to play it at tgs. Honestly, I'm a huge fan of the originals, and sir Dan foresque has been one of my most favored of the playstation icons, but it wasn't that great from what I played. It may have been the unit it was running on or the controller, but there were some serious control response issues. Also, while the original had minor camera issues here and there, this one was just all over the place. I really hope they can sort this stuff out before launch especially as I want ...
